Welcome to my gallery.
My inspiration for photography is quite possibly an accumulative mix of the picturesque surroundings of my home, Castletownbere, a thought of being creative, and to compensate for the fact that I cannot draw or paint to save my life!
I have taken up photography as a hobby in late 2005. I joined Beara Camera Club in July 2008; my fellow photographers have shared some of their experiences with me and have given me valuable words of wisdom and have encouraged and inspired me to improve my photography. My camera is a compact Canon Ixus 960. I plan to buy my very first DSLR camera in the near future.
I capture a variety of photography themes; my favourite include seascapes, black and white, portraits and macro. I have recently had images published in newspapers including the Irish Examiner and the Evening Echo.
Some of my photography aims for the future include: to continue making the best effort I can to capture appealing images; to obtain a qualification in photography, and to perhaps someday have an exhibition of my images.
